We don’t usually like to boast but on this one we can’t hold back. As of 17 February 2017, a huge (but just symbolic) milestone was reached: more than 1000 automated releases performed by our Jenkins installation, from each continuous delivery pipeline.

Each release spams our inbox but each email is proof of our success:

This has been achieved since Stratio Admin 1.3.0-RC1 went live on 15 June 2015 and includes milestones, release candidates and final releases. Some artifacts were incorrect and others had to be retried, but we are pleased with our progress:

Congratulations Stratians!

Now that we have given ourselves this little pat on the shoulder, some additional information:

  • With some luck and time, we will work over this data to extract additional information, such as the most released project, its cadency, number of open source components automatically deployed to maven central…
  • If you haven’t done it yet, have a look at our related posts about how Jenkins pipelines are used at Stratio and their defects, pitfalls and limitations.
  • Just in case you are not aware, Stratio is hiring. There are plenty of available roles, including DevOps guys/gals, involved in continuous delivery tasks. Don’t fret and contact us!
  • Also, remember we are Madrid Jenkins Area Meetup organizers and are already planning several events, so join us to stay tuned.
